Hi all, I'm sure most of you have seen the announcement we made on the discord announcing that the beta pass will not be coming to the next update. I would like to inform you all of what will be happening to content we made for the beta pass.
1. Beta Pass Content
You may be wondering "What will happen to the beta pass content?". So let's get this out of the way, no. Beta Pass content will not be removed. On top of that it will not be exclusive, which I find to be a good move(more on that later), I put alot of work into the emblems and calling cards for the update, fine tuning the weapons to make sure we don't have another shotgun repeat.. and I wouldn't want to delete the new operators from the game, it would put the talented VAs who voiced for the game in a bad place.
2. Acquiring New Items
Now that that's out of the way, we can move to another necessary question. Which is how we've gonna let you get the new content.
It was originally planned for only the weapons to be unlockable via leveling, we mainly planned for the beta pass content to be entirely exclusive. I see that this is now a terrible idea! This is because of the big "fear of missing out" craze. Obviously not everybody would be able to put all their time into unlocking all of the rewards in the beta pass, you may get caught up in school, work, etc. So when I found this issue with the BP it gave me a brilliant idea, a way that I could keep in the content while still giving players a challenge. Making a free shop!
3. The Shop
To keep the players engaged and to keep out the FOMO scare away, I had the idea of making a little shop, a place where you can use your XP coins to get items for free. No this isn't some tactic to get your money, you can simply earn XP coins by playing the game. Every update you can expect brand new content in the shop, ranging from operators, weapons, emblems, calling cards, and eventually weapon skins. All of which you can earn for free using your XP coins which as mentioned before, can be earned by playing ShotSurged.
